MMUK MAN - EYEBROWS AND BEARD FILLER

I have worked with MMUK Man on many posts before such as their BB Cream, Concealers and Make Up and I had recently been gifted 2 items from them, this time, to help get my eyebrows into shape and my beard looking strong!

Being blonde and fair skinned, my eyebrows haven't always been the most prominent but having said that, I haven't exactly been one to take care of them either other than to pluck the odd hair out of its place. That being said, my facial hair is quite short as my hair is bleached so I find that these two can clash but, nevertheless, I was still keen to try this out for my facial hair!

I had been sent;

  • Hi-Brow Shadow
  • Brush Ware / Brow Angle 15

To begin with, I used the Hi-Brow Shadow and applied this with my Brush. I often find that it is always best to begin with a small amount so that if anything goes wrong, it is easier to build it up rather than take it all off and start again! Once I was happy with the amount on my brush, I then began to glide the brush across my eyebrow, starting with the corner closest to my eye by going over it and making it appear thicker, whilst going lighter towards the end to really add more emphasis and definition on the arch.

For my facial hair, again, I used a small amount and began to blend in the Hi-Brow Shadow with my facial hair and blended this in those pesky patchy areas! I was pleasantly surprised with how natural looking this was, and how it didn't appear too obvious that this had been 'coloured in'!

Overall, a great and nifty way of adding more definition to both your eyebrows and beard/facial hair and one that doesn't require a lot of effort either.

MYEGO PRODUCTS

I always seem to suffer from a shiny, oily face after fake tanning, despite how sparingly I apply the tan.

Having had this problem, MaleSkin had kindly sent me a few products to try out from MYEGO, a natural skincare brand which is free from all bad ingredients and is suitable for all skin-types, including sensitive skin!

The products that I had received were;

Image (1).png
  • MYEGO: Cover Select Corrector - A crafty little concealer that aims to reduce puffiness and the discolouration of dark circles under the eyes. This concealer contains the ingredients; Pomegranate which helps to protect and repair tired looking skin, and Rooibos Tea which soothes and reduces puffiness around the eye area. I applied this last as part of my skincare routine before heading out to conceal those dark bags under my eyes! I found the application easy to use and found it was able to glide under my eyes smoothly. The shade was a little 'pinky' for what I'm used to, but after blending it in, it appeared natural looking and the discolouration had been reduced!
  • MYEGO: Matifiant Shine Rescue - Out of the three products that I received, this Matifiant Shine Rescue was my favourite. An ultra-fine powder that contains Bamboo Extract to remove pollutants and oil excess on the skin's surface, I found that the powder appeared very natural on my skin and managed to take away the shine, especially after fake tanning! The overall appearance of the powder left my skin looking healthy and I liked that the powder didn't stick to my skin too heavily and it left my skin with a matte finish!
  • MYEGO: Fonteint Tinted Moisturiser - A tinted moisturiser that contains Natural Jojoba and Shea Nut which will both sooth, enhance and even out your skin tone to create a healthy finish. I'll be honest, the shade of this tinted moisturiser was too dark for my natural skin tone, yet once I had fake tanned, it blended into my skin perfectly and was just the right shade! I liked how the tinted moisturiser didn't feel too dense nor heavy when applied and it didn't appear too obvious to others that I had been wearing anything on top of the fake tan which gave me a boost!

Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed trialling out these products by MYEGO and a little factor that I also liked about the brand, was their packaging. They all looked slick and well presented, and I liked that they each come in eco-friendly packaging which is naturally a plus in my eyes when it comes to the environment!

MMUK MAN: BB CREAM

Yet another sterling offering by MMUK Man once again, this time in the form of their BB Cream!

20180415_174609284_iOS.jpg

I have recently been trying out their tinted moisturiser which is a new one for me as prior to trialling this, I have always had mixed opinions when it comes to tinted moisturisers. This was mainly due to them being slightly too 'orange and obvious' on my face which of course there is nothing wrong with that, but for my personal taste, if I'm wearing a tinted moisturiser then I tend to go for those that are more subtle which add a glow as opposed to sporting a 'heavy face'.

The shade that I had received was 'light' which was ideal for my skin tone as I am naturally fair skinned. I ensured that my skin had been cleansed prior to applying the BB Cream and applied lightly across my face to begin with, as I find that it is much easier to layer something up rather than having to scrub it away again.

Once applied, I noticed a colour change that was subtle and didn't appear too obvious which was a winner for me! I liked that the cream didn't feel too dense or heavy upon my skin and my skins appearance looked healthier with a touch of colour. Perfect for those days where I'm looking a little too pale!

COVER UP WITH MMUK MAN

I have teamed up with MMUK Man once again, this time to try out some of their best-selling concealers! As mentioned in my previous post with MMUK Man, I rarely wear makeup unless I have fake tanned ready for a big night out just to add a little more definition to my face and to highlight my features!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The three concealers I received were:

20180301_165223460_iOS.jpg
  • Close Up Anticerne - N5 Cool Natural Shade

I used this predominantly for my dark under eye circles and found that it was easily applied and that the texture was rather fine and didn't feel too heavy or dense on my skin! The shade was natural looking and matched my skin tone pretty well. My under eyes appeared brighter and whilst the concealer didn't cover all of it, it definitely took away the darkness!

  • Touch-Up Veil - N55

This was a complete first for me as I had never used a Concealer Pen before! To use this, I turned the end of the Concealer Pen a couple of times for the liquid to seep out of the brush and then began to apply this under my eyes, along with my nose and on a few pesky blackheads. The shade was too dark for my skin type when I hadn't fake tanned, yet when I did fake tan, the shade matched well! This Touch-Up Veil felt light on my skin and I liked that it was rather discreet and didn't look as though I was wearing anything.

  • Liquid Concealer - N55 Cool Neutral

Similar to the Touch-Up Veil in the sense that I applied this Liquid Concealer in the same areas; Under eyes, nose and on my blackheads. The only thing different between them both is that the shade of the Liquid Concealer was more of a match on my natural skin! Again, I liked that this too was also discreetly looking and the Liquid Concealer didn't feel too wet or oily on my skin which I really liked.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In terms of the best coverage and my favourite concealer out of the three, for me, it would have to be the Touch-Up Veil! Easy to use, lightweight in terms of its texture and discreet looking!

MMUK MAN

Apart from using the occasional powder to stop my face from appearing shiny after fake-tanning, a bit of highlighter to enhance and make my cheekbones pop, a smattering of mattifier to smooth things out, I wouldn't necessarily say I was a big makeup user... But having read that list back, perhaps I am!?

I remember asking my Mum when I was about 15/16 if she would go to Boots for me to purchase some foundation for me as I felt a little embarrassed and as though it wasn't deemed as 'the thing to do' what with a young lad wearing makeup at the time. As time has gone on and my confidence has grown massively, I now couldn't care less and I think the stigma surrounding makeup for men has dwindled rather a lot due to the sudden rise in social media and the pressures in looking the absolute best 24/7.

Nowadays men seem to take huge pride in their appearance and if makeup can help aid and perfect how they look, then I don't think they would hesitate in making that makeup purchase!

I had recently been approached by MMUK Man to try out a few of their products from their makeup line and I received;

20171221_192325110_iOS.jpg

FACE FOUNDATION - SHADE NO.5 COOL NEUTRAL

I applied the Face Foundation with a brush and only used a small amount to begin with to slowly build it up if needed. I found that this gave me a smooth coverage which matched my skin tone perfectly!

The foundation felt light upon my face and didn't feel too heavy or dense either which was great! It also didn't appear too noticeable which is the look I was after and it helped to cover up a few of my blemishes also.

You can purchase the Face Foundation here.

BRONZE BABY BRONZER - GOLDEN GODDESS

Prior to using the Bronze Baby Bronzer, I always find bronzer to be a little too harsh on my skin and as I'm quite naturally fair, it can often look as though my face can be slightly dirty and a little too OTT!

This 'Golden Goddess' Baby Bronzer however, was at first slightly too dark for my skin tone but after brushing it into my skin a few more times, the Bronzer enhanced my cheeks and I found that the Bronzer looked better on my skin after fake tanning!

You can purchase the Bronze Baby Bronzer here

MANSCARA

I have quite naturally long eyelashes and I'll be honest, I found the mascara made my eyelashes look as though I had 'falsies' on...

Which I is absolutely ideal if that is the look that you're aiming for! But for me personally, I prefer to have a more natural look around my eyes.

You can purchase the Manscara here.

COVER UP CONCEALER STICK - SHADE NO.5 COOL NEUTRAL

The Cover Up Concealer Stick was the one I was most looking forward to trying out!

I have a blemish on my cheek which is highly frustrating and when I used the Cover Up Stick, it completely vanished! The shade was perfectly matched to my skin tone and it didn't feel too heavy on my skin and blended in naturally.

You can purchase the Cover Up Concealer Stick here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, I have really enjoyed using a few products from the MMUK Man make-up range and I have found it to be a fun and unique way to play around with for my blog! My favourites from the range were the Face Foundation and Cover Up Concealer Stick and although the Manscara didn't work personally for me, it may work perfectly for you? When it comes to make-up it is all about finding the right shade for your skin tone and most importantly, having fun with it!
