TRICK OR TREAT?

Following on from my previous post, where choosing between the options of staying in or going out this Halloween weekend, I offered up the option of staying in to devour the spooky treats from the Hotel Chocolat; Little Monsters Halloween Hamper. So for this post, I will be tempting you with more delicious treats, only this time they come in the form of 'Halloween themed' drinks and will be the perfect way to accompany and kickstart your Halloween night out!

I received three sample bottles, all from 31Dover.com which if you've been following my blog for a while now, you will now that because of 31Dover I have managed to find and try out many new drinks which have now become firm favourites of mine, such as the Kraken Rum!

DEADHEAD RUM

Without a doubt, my favourite drink out of the three! Perhaps I'm a little biased as I am a big Rum drinker as it is... A spicy and rich Rum which is a great addition to cocktails and I used this Rum alongside Coke. I found the design of the bottle really creepy and was a definite head turner!

OUTERSPACE VODKA

A five time distilled Vodka with a smooth and clean taste which comes in the form of a unique and instantly recognisable, Alien Head. I found the design to be really striking and I mixed the Vodka with Lemonade to keep it refreshing!

CRYSTAL HEAD VODKA

Similar to the Outerspace Vodka in the sense that it felt smooth down my throat and I mixed this with Lemonade. I also love the design of the bottle!

SUMMER DRINKS WITH 31DOVER

I love nothing more than to socialise and relax on a warm Summer's evening with a cold and refreshing beverage, and courtesy of 31Dover, I have been able to try out some new drinks!

31Dover sent over 2 bottles of alcoholic beverages, both of which are ideal for the warmer weather!

CIROC LIMITED EDITION SUMMER COLADA

Summer Colada by Ciroc is the first limited edition bottle to be released from the brand and is inspired by the refreshing 'Pina Colada' cocktail. Layered with the Ciroc Vodka, it is blended with natural pineapple flavours with coconut essence. I found the drink to be very tasty and tropical, without feeling too fruity and overpowering! I mixed this with Lemonade and found it to be really refreshing! You can purchase Ciroc Limited Edition Summer Colada here.

ALUNA COCONUT RUM

Out of the two, the Coconut Rum from Aluna was my favourite! I am a big Rum drinker as it is anyway, and this was one I enjoyed drinking the most. From the first sip, it felt incredibly warm down the throat and had a real authentic feel to it. I mixed the Coconut Rum with Coke and with Rum's I find that sometimes it can leave me feeling a little bloated and heavy, however with this Rum, it felt much lighter! I drink this with Coke as I have found it to mix perfectly, although I am looking for new mixers and cocktail suggestions to use Kraken Rum with? Any help?

FESTIVE DRINKS WITH 31DOVER

I recently received a small selection of drinks by Chase for Christmas from 31Dover.com, and having tasted the Chase Vodka many times before, it had felt as though Christmas had come early! If you are still yet to have your Christmas Party, or you're in need of a few drinks ideas, then hopefully this will help! 31Dover.com's last orders for Christmas Delivery is the 22nd December, so be quick.. The selection of Chase drinks that I received were;

Rhubarb Vodka
Extra Dry Gin (accompanied with a free hip flask)
Marmalade Vodka
English Potato Vodka

RHUBARB VODKA

I chose to have the Rhubarb Vodka mixed with Lemonade, and found this blended perfectly and made for a really refreshing drink! Definitely one I could imagine having when Spring/Summer comes back around, and I particularly liked the subtle pinkness to this beverage. Chase recommend serving with a Vanilla Pod in a Champagne Cocktail, which supposedly tastes like 'Rhubarb Crumble', so I am eager to try this recipe out!

EXTRA DRY GIN

I'll be honest, I dislike Gin-based drinks as I find Gin slightly too bitter for me.. Having said that however, I must admit that when I tried the Extra Dry Gin mixed with Tonic, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been. I thought that the bow on the bottle was a great touch, and really enforced the 'Britishness' to the Chase brand! The Extra Dry Gin also comes with a free hip-flask!

MARMALADE VODKA

By far, my favourite Chase beverage! I actually drank this as a shot, and found that it stood well on its own with the flavours of the orange and marmalade remaining prominent.

ENGLISH POTATO VODKA

This is the Chase Vodka that I had already tasted prior to receiving the bundle, and is one of my favourite Vodkas! I usually have this with lemonade and ice, and is often my go-to drink!

HALLOWEEN DRINKS WITH 31DOVER

I've made no secret of the fact that I love a good night out! Socialising with my friends, meeting new people, and with Halloween just days away, I was truly ecstatic to have received 3 sample bottles from 31DOVER.com in time for the Halloween's events! Each bottle of the spirit that I received were all specifically picked out for Halloween.

KRAKEN BLACK SPICED RUM

I am a huge rum-based lover, especially when it's spiced/dark. So this, without a doubt was my favourite out of the three! I mixed the Black Spiced Rum with Coke, and found that it mixed perfectly.

CRYSTAL HEAD VODKA

Slightly off topic, but I must mention that this was the most aesthetically pleasing out of the three, and one I will use as an 'Instagram' prop for future reference.. Anyway! I mixed the Vodka with Lemonade, and found it to blend well. Also, Vodka mixed with Lemonade is my go-to drink when I'm wanting a good time!

PATRON XO CAFE COFFEE LIQUEUR WITH SILVER TEQUILA

I wasn't a huge fan of the Tequila spirit beforehand, so it came as a pleasant surprise to find that I actually enjoyed this drink! I couldn't taste the Tequila as much, primarily due to the fact that the coffee taste was very prominent. I didn't mix the Coffee Liqueur with Silver Tequila with anything, instead taking it as a shot and found it to be smooth and creamy!
